Workplace Communication

Course Description

Effective communication is the foundation of a productive, safe, and respectful workplace. This interactive computer-based training equips employees and leaders with the skills to recognize and adapt to different communication styles, reducing the risk of misunderstandings, incomplete tasks, and conflict. Through real-life scenarios and expert instruction, learners will explore how miscommunication, failure to adapt to others’ communication needs, and poor handling of critical situations can escalate routine conversations into security concerns or HR issues.

Participants will learn how to deliver clear, respectful messages, listen actively, manage emotions, and navigate challenging situations. The course emphasizes sources of conflict and office politics, analyzing the importance of de-escalation, and the impact of communication on team performance and workplace safety.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify communication breakdowns, apply proven strategies to prevent escalation, and maintain a secure, respectful environment for colleagues, visitors, and clients.
